Rhiannon discovered her passion for lactation support during orientation to her first RN Neonatal ICU position. She became passionate about helping people provide breast milk to their babies either through pumping or breast/chest feeding. After becoming a mother herself, and a difficult breastfeeding journey with her own baby, she became even more passionate after realizing there isn’t a ton of support in the area. Rhiannon and her family moved to Portland, OR in 2016 where she had the opportunity to train as a peer counselor and support lactating people over the phone. She continued working in the NICU and supporting families there. Her family moved again in 2017 to Seattle, WA where she worked in a NICU that encouraged her to obtain her IBCLC, which she accomplished in 2021. Rhiannon and her family moved back to the Houston area in 2021 and she spent time working in the NICU and supporting families. She is an advocate for informed decision making, meeting people where they are at, and working as a collaborative team. In her free time you can find her spending time with family and friends, reading, and spending time in nature.
Rhiannon offers home visits in Bellevue, Washington and surrounding areas.
